01

Five signs of a perfect fit

Put the bra on, fasten it on the loosest hook, and check these five things in front of a mirror.

Band sits level

The band stays straight across your back and does not ride up.

Centre lies flat

The middle part between the cups rests flat against your chest.

Cups are smooth

No gaps at the top and no spilling over the edges.

Straps stay put

Straps do not slip or dig in. They carry only a little of the support.

Two fingers fit

You can slide two fingers under the band, and no more.

02

Common fit problems, and the fix

Gaping cups

Space between the cup and your body.

Fix: Go down one cup size, or try a plunge style.

Spilling over

The cup edge cuts in at the top or sides.

Fix: Go up one cup size, or try full coverage.

Band rides up

The back of the band lifts higher than the front.

Fix: Go down a band size and up a cup.

Straps dig in

Red marks on your shoulders by evening.

Fix: Loosen the straps; the band should do the work.

04

Sister sizes

Sister sizes have the same cup volume on a different band. If the band feels tight, go up a band and down a cup. If it feels loose, go down a band and up a cup.
